Darren Elkins vs. Robert Whiteford added to UFC Fight Night 76 in Dublin

A featherweight matchup between Darren Elkins (18-5 MMA, 8-4 UFC) and Robert Whiteford (12-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) is the latest addition to next month’s UFC Fight Night 76 in Ireland.

UFC officials today announced the new contest.

Elkins is currently an honorable mention in the latest NOS Energy Drink MMA featherweight rankings, while Whiteford is unranked.

UFC Fight Night 76 takes place Oct. 24 at 3Arena in Dublin. The entire card streams on UFC Fight Pass.

The 31-year-old Elkins now fights for the third consecutive time on foreign soil after the American traveled to Brazil for his past two contests. Elkins was 6-1 in his first seven UFC matchups but has struggled a bit in recent times, going 2-3 in his past five appearances, all against top-level competition.

Meanwhile, Whiteford – a 33-year-old Scotsman – debuted for the UFC in October 2013 with a submission loss to Jimy Hettes. However, he’s since bounced back with back-to-back victories over Paul Redmond and Daniel Pineda.

With the addition to the card, UFC Fight Night 76 now includes:
