The UFC has signed Boston-based fighter Rob Font, who will make his promotional debut this summer.
Font (10-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will drop from featherweight to bantamweight and debut at UFC 175, which takes place July 5 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

Font will bring a nine-fight winning streak into his UFC debut, including a pair of first-round finishes in 2014. His resume includes six stoppage wins in his 10 career victories.
Font’s lone loss, more than two years ago, came at the hands of Bellator standout Desmond Green, and he also holds a win over Bellator veteran Saul Almeida.
Font trains at the famed Sityodtong school with coach Mark DellaGrotte.
“So many people have helped get me here, so I’m thankful for them,” Font stated. “It feels amazing to say we’ve made it to the UFC, but it’s one thing to make it and quite another to remain in the UFC. Needless to say, it’s only the beginning. We have much more work to do.”
