Mark Bocek will get to fight in his hometown of Toronto as well as act as welcoming party for former WEC lightweight champion Ben Henderson as the pair have agreed to meet at UFC 129 on April 30.

The fight was confirmed to MMAWeekly.com by sources close to the match-up on Monday, with verbal agreements in place. The bout was initially reported by MMAJunkie.com.

After a “Submission of the Night” performance at UFC 124, Mark Bocek (9-3) asked to face George Sotiropoulos to prove who had the best jiu-jitsu in the promotion. His other wish was to fight in his hometown of Toronto.

One out of two isn’t bad.

Bocek has looked very strong in his last few bouts, including wins over Dustin Hazelett and Joe Brammer, and also came very close to defeating Jim Miller in his only loss over his last five fights.

Hope to hand Bocek his next loss will be former WEC lightweight champion Ben Henderson (12-2) looking to bounce back from a tough defeat at the hands of Anthony Pettis as he closed out his WEC career.

Henderson had won his last 10 fights in a row prior to the fight with Pettis, which resulted in a five round classic between the two lightweights. The Arizona based fighter will look to bounce back strong when he faces Bocek in Toronto.

The bout between Henderson and Bocek is likely to receive television time either on the pay-per-view broadcast or for a potential preliminary broadcast, although the UFC has not made an announcement about one at this point.
