Season 9 kicks off on Sept. 7 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., featuring a middleweight title showdown between Alexander Shlemenko and Doug Marshall. Bellator will then visit the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, Calif., and Grand Canyon University Arena in Phoenix over the following weeks.
Bellator 101 follows on Sept. 27 and marks the Viacom-owned promotion’s first trip to Portland, Ore. From there, the organization will visit the Visalia Convention Center in Visalia, Calif., and the Kansas Star Casino in Wichita, Kan., as well as the US Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The promotion will then return to the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, N.M., on Oct. 25 before taking a week off to promote the Nov. 2 pay-per-view, which is headlined by a light heavyweight showdown between ex-UFC champions Quinton Jackson and Tito Ortiz.
Bellator comes back to Spike TV the following week, however, hosting Bellator 106 from the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Okla. Season 9 then wraps with events on Nov. 15 and 22, as Bellator visits Revel in Atlantic City, N.J., and the Sands Casino Event Center in Bethlehem, Penn.
