Bellator 103 video highlights: David Rickels drives to cage, gets slick stoppage

The Season 9 featherweight tournament semifinals were the main attractions at Friday’s Bellator 103 event, but local fighter David Rickels again stole the show.

The event, which aired on Spike TV from Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kan., saw Patricio Freire and Justin Wilcox stamp their tickets to next month’s tourney final with solid decision wins. But the night’s other main-card bouts really produced the highlights.

After Mikhail Zayats submitted Aaron Rosa in just 47 seconds, Rickels unveiled his latest prop: a “Rickels Mobile” (“The Caveman” used a Flintstones-inspired design, which can be seen below) that took him to the cage, where he applied an inverted triangle choke before forcing a second-round TKO stoppage with body shots to opponent J.J. Ambrose.
