ONE: Dynasty of Champions is set for the National Olympic Sports Centre Gymnasium in Beijing on Saturday night (local time) after all the fighters made weight on Friday. Narantungalag Jadambaa and Marat Gafurov meet in a 145-pound championship unification bout and they both came in at 145 pounds. Adriano Moraes and Kairat Akhmetov, who fight for the Brazilians flyweight belt, tipped the scales at 125 pounds and 124.5 pounds, respectively.
It will be Jadambaa’s first fight since winning the belt in August 2014 and he is taking on an undefeated interim champion who has won three out of three fights for ONE Championship. The fight was originally scheduled for Jakarta in September, but the Mongolian was denied entry to Indonesia due to visa issues.
Two promotional newcomers are going head to head in the welterweight division and both came in comfortably under the 170-pound limit. Russia’s Nikolay Aleksakhin weighed in at 169 pounds, while Mongolian Burenzorig Batmunkh made weight with a couple of pounds to spare, coming in at 168 pounds.
Also in the welterweight division, Jeff Huang takes on Trestle Tan, who accepted the fight on ten days notice after Huang’s original opponent pulled out with an injury. The Taiwanese fighter came in at 169 pounds, while the Filipino, who won by knockout the first time they fought, weighed 166.5 pounds.
There will also be a one-night, four-man featherweight tournament and all the fighters involved made weight.
