As one of MMA’s most popular stars, UFC bantamweight Urijah Faber certainly knows a thing or two about fandom.
Now, he’ll put it to the test. In the above video from our partners at Champions.co, Faber describes some telltale signs of being a true UFC fan – from adding flexing positions to morning routines to annoying co-workers with dramatic walkouts and Bruce Buffer catchphrases.
Another sign, the former WEC champ says, is tuning in to watch him – which fans will probably get their last chance of doing at UFC on FOX 22, on Saturday, when Faber (33-10 MMA, 9-6 UFC) faces Brad Pickett (25-12 MMA, 5-7 UFC) for what he says is his retirement fight.
Faber’s 44th and final professional MMA bout takes place in his longtime home of Sacramento, Calif. Ranked No. 10 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA bantamweight rankings, “The California Kid” calls it quits after a 13-year pro run.
