Agent: UFC champ Ronda Rousey's WrestleMania gig a 'one-off' deal

If you’re expecting to see more of Ronda Rousey in the WWE, you may be disappointed.

The reigning UFC women’s bantamweight champion made a splash at Sunday’s WrestleMania 31 event in Santa Clara, Calif., where she teamed with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for a scripted confrontation with Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. The appearance had MMA fans talking – and buzzed WWE fans buzzing.

However, the 28-year-old MMA star’s involvement in pro wrestling appears to be over for now.

Her agent, Brad Slater, told “UFC Tonight” on Wednesday that Rousey has no longterm deal with the WWE and that this past weekend’s appearance was a “one-off” proposition.

Instead, Slater said, her lucrative and dominant reign as UFC champion – as well as a budding film career, including a role in this weekend’s “Furious 7? release – will tie up her free time.

Still, when WrestleMania rolls around next year, don’t be surprised if WWE officials check on Rousey’s availability.

Of course, up next for Rousey (11-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC), who’s made five straight title defenses and stopped all 11 career opponents (10 in the first round), is a UFC 190 pay-per-view headliner with Bethe Correia (9-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC). The event takes place Aug. 1 at Rio de Janeiro’s HSBC Arena.
