About

About Legacy Fighting Alliance

The future stars of mixed martial arts take on each other and the sport's top contenders in the Legacy Fighting Alliance, the premier developmental circuit in MMA today. The Legacy Fighting Alliance features both up-and-coming fighters on their way to glory and veteran fighters who still have something to offer and something to prove.

The LFA is one of the top developmental mixed martial arts promotions in the United States, aiming to be a major pipeline for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Legacy Fighting Alliance cards are held several times a month, focusing primarily on venues west of the Mississippi River but occasionally as far east as New Jersey and Virginia. The organization itself is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Legacy Fighting Alliance has the pedigree of two solid organizations and the backing of some of the most respected names in combat sports. Founded in 2016 through a merger between the Resurrection Fighting Alliance and the Legacy Fighting Championship (Legacy FC), the LFA hosts regular bouts on AXS TV. It continues a long and healthy relationship between the network and the two organizations that merged to form the LFA.

The Legacy Fighting Alliance is led by CEO Ed Soares, best known for managing fighters like former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo. Prior to the formation of the Legacy Fighting Alliance, Soares was also the public face of the Resurrection Fighting Alliance.

The Legacy Fighting Alliance consists of eight men's and two women's weight divisions, with women and men both competing in bantamweight and flyweight classes. Belts are also held for heavyweight, light heavyweight, middleweight, welterweight, lightweight, and featherweight divisions. Follow all the LFA action on AXS TV, as well as on Twitter @LFAFighting and on the LFA website lfafighting.com.

    Had a GREAT time

by Kburton on 4/29/24Sanford Pentagon - Sioux Falls

Very well run event. Great time and experience. It was a good plan for a Friday night and had 10 really good fights. Can’t wait until the next venue here in Sioux Falls.

    Good but too loud.

by Nicole on 4/29/24Sanford Pentagon - Sioux Falls

This even was very well done. Two points for improvement. All people attending the fights had to go through the metal detectors and have all purses and bags searched. I have no objection to this. But what really pissed me off was there was some sort of child’s basketball practice also going on with them watching thru with very large athletic style bags, into the same overall space and they were just waved through with zero checks. In this day and age I would not put it past an adult to use a child’s bag to slip something into the venue. Every one of these MMA events has, what should be BACKGROUND music, turned up insanely loud. It’s meant to set a mood, not be a concert. I go to these events with some friends I do not get to see very often and would really like to be able to talk to them in the downtime between fights. It did seem like partway thru the evening it was turned down a small amount. I am happy to report that unlike prior MMA events, they did not use the lighting rig to sweep those lights up and down into the crowd. It was obnoxious and I am glad it stopped. The venue staff did a great job on food and beverage and the lines were very quick.

    Ticket Process/Venue

by MMA Mom on 4/29/24Sanford Pentagon - Sioux Falls

Ticket process was quick and easy. I was able to transfer to my group so we could arrive separately. The venue was good. We’ve been to fights there before. There was a fight in the stands that was kind of scary. However it was handled very quickly by staff.

    Legit MMA style experience

by Kate on 4/23/24Broadbent Arena - Louisville

I definitely enjoyed the Legacy Fighting Alliance show here in Louisville, KY. The fighters were well matched and practiced excellent sportsmanship. The only things I did not like about this event was that the more expensive seat I purchased actually had more of an obstructed view being on ground level as opposed to the less expensive seat option in the angled "bleacher"style seats. And also a fight broke out right beside me and it took at least a minute or two before any security officers noticed as it happened during the final fight. Therefore I'd suggest more security presence or better placement.

    Ring side Walkway.

by Kurt on 2/28/24Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino Event Center - Niagara Falls

Seats where great but didn't think it was gonna be a ring side experience of having people walking front of you through the whole entire fight. Little discouraging people tipping over you spelling, drink on you. We'll never pay for ringside again.
