UFC 333 is set to deliver one of the most anticipated fight cards of 2026, headlined by a highly competitive featherweight showdown between former champion Alexander Volkanovski and rising contender Movsar Evloev. The event also features an explosive bantamweight clash between Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili, promising fans an evening of elite-level mixed martial arts action.

Main Event: Volkanovski vs. Evloev

Alexander Volkanovski returns to the octagon to face one of the division's most dangerous threats in Movsar Evloev. The Australian has long been regarded as one of the sport's best pound-for-pound fighters, with his crisp boxing, exceptional fight IQ, and relentless cardio. Facing him is Evloev, an undefeated wrestler with a smothering ground game and the technical skills to pose problems for anyone in the featherweight division.

This matchup represents a classic striker versus grappler battle, with Volkanovski needing to maintain distance and work his superior boxing against Evloev's relentless pressure and wrestling-heavy approach. For Evloev, this is a career-defining opportunity to prove he belongs at the top of the division and potentially earn a title shot with a victory over such a prestigious opponent.

Co-Main Event: Yan vs. Dvalishvili

The bantamweight division takes center stage in the co-main event as former champion Petr Yan faces the relentless Merab Dvalishvili. Yan brings precision striking and technical excellence to every fight, utilizing his sharp combinations and intelligent counterstriking to dismantle opponents. His experience at the highest level makes him one of the most dangerous fighters in the weight class.

Dvalishvili, known for his cardio-heavy wrestling style and non-stop pressure, presents a unique challenge. His ability to maintain an incredible pace throughout five rounds has broken many opponents, and his wrestling pedigree makes him a serious threat to any fighter in the division. This bout could have significant title implications for the winner.

What to Expect

UFC 333 showcases high-level matchmaking at its finest, pairing established stars against hungry contenders in fights that matter. Both main card bouts feature contrasting styles that should produce compelling action and clear divisional direction. The Volkanovski versus Evloev matchup will test whether elite striking or suffocating wrestling prevails, while Yan and Dvalishvili will determine which bantamweight remains in prime position for championship consideration.

Fans can expect technical excellence, championship-caliber performances, and potentially fight-of-the-year candidates when these elite competitors step into the octagon on October 24, 2026.
