Stephen Thompson is by far one of the best strikers in the UFC welterweight roster. He has done the best to incorporate traditional karate style strikes and tactics into the MMA landscape. Specifically keeping his hands low, light footwork, no load kicks and especially his off angle rush as known as zig zagging.

Stephen Thompson for sure gets the majority of his style from karate but that’s not to say he doesn’t understand boxing fundamentals.
