In this video I show a way to pass the Knee Shield by turning the knee back. This is a variation of the Knee Cut and can really be an easy and dynamic transition.
Make sure that you pop up and get the knee off the floor between the legs and than maintain posture while getting your belt/belly area over the shin.
I have a few other techniques already filmed that will show "what if' scenarios including alternate grips or a binding of the hip/knee that you cant clear it.
