Shuya Kamikubo made an amazing start to his ONE career with an emphatic debut performance against surging Indonesian Sunoto at ONE: BATTLE FOR THE HEAVENS. Though Sunoto started off the bout with a tenacious takedown early in the first round, Kamikubo was able to get back to his feet and secured his own takedown. The second frame mirrored much of the first as the Japanese ace showcased his grappling prowess to bring Sunoto down to the mat multiple times before mounting his Indonesian adversary and drilling home hard strikes, forcing the referee to call a stop to the match.
