Although the Nevada Athletic Commission didn't even mention Nick Diaz by name during it's Jan. 12 meeting, it unanimously passed agenda item number two, which was a settlement agreement between Diaz and the commission. The settlement was in regard to him testing positive for marijuana when he fought Anderson Silva at UFC 183 in January of 2015. Diaz was originally suspended for five years and fined $165,000, but that was reduced in the approved settlement. Diaz's reduced sentence stands at an 18-month suspension and a $100,000 fine.
