Round one showed fast and accurate combinations from both fighters with each able to hurt the other early. The fighters clinched and each was able to land hard knees and spin the other into the cage several times with both also working for takedowns until the round ended. Round two, Garcia worked for and got an early takedown and worked between north/south and side control while also working GNP. Garcia momentarily had back control but Tucker scrambled to standing. Garcia quickly scored another takedown into full mount then secured back control and sunk in the RNC for the win at 1:49 of round two
