Following in his brother Omar's footsteps, Brandon Figueroa (6-0, 5 KOs) took on Jonell Nieves (6-3, 4 KOs) on PBC on FS1 Saturday, May 27. Figueroa begins the the fight with hooks from the outside to the body. In round 3 Nieves lands punches but Figueroa responds. Nieves has a difficult time avoiding Figueroa in round 4. Figueroa sends strong, powerful punches over the top and uppercuts. Figueroa rushes Nieves in round 5 and less than a minute into the round he knocks Nieves down to the canvas. Shortly after Figueroa knocks Nieves down again with body shots. Finally, Figueroa stops Nieves by TKO with 1:48 seconds remaining in the 5th round and improving his record to 7-0.
