Oscar Escandon faced undefeated Olympian Tugstsogt Nyambayar in a 10-round featherweight bout on Saturday, May 26, 2018 on PBC on FS1.
Oscar Escandon looked to bounce back in his first fight since his loss by TKO at the hands of WBC champ Gary Russell last year. "King Tut" Nyambayar wanted to display his Olympian pedigree and move his way up the ladder in the division. Although the fight was scheduled for 10 rounds, but all it took was 3 before a fighter was victorious.
Immediately into RD1 Nyambayar showed he was the faster and more precise fighter. Nyambayar was finding success until late in RD1 Escandon landed a small flurry of punches that sent Nyambayar back causing a knockdown.
