The Fight Nerd spoke with Dan 'The Beast' Severn, who just recently released his autobiography co-written by Ian Douglass, "The Realest Guy In The Room." The book covers Dan's life growing up on a farm, finding wrestling and becoming one of the top US competitors, and what happened that led him into his acclaimed career in MMA and professional wrestling.
In this part of our interview, Dan talks about his run in the WWF and the infamous debacle known as the Brawl For All. This event saw pro wrestlers competing in a tough man competition with the winner getting a nice payday and a Wrestlemania bout against Butterbean. Severn tells us the story about its origins and why he was initially not permitted to be a part of it, and why it did not work as well as it could have.
