It’s taken lot of time and patience for me to learn how to appreciate myself...my flaws...my skills...my journey...it’s all still coming along... It’s much easier to love others than it is to love ourselves. Why is that? We need the same consideration, care, respect, understanding and loyalty from ourselves that we give, but for some reason it’s much harder to aim it right back around. It can feel strange at times, even selfish. I’ve found, if you want the best version of you and to be able to give your energy to everyone else around you, occasionally you’re going to have to put yourself front and center.
