11 scheduled UFC / MMA fights which were scheduled but didn't take place. At UFC 87, Brock Lesnar fought Heath Herring. But he wasn't supposed to. He was scheduled to fight Mark Coleman. However, an achilles injury forced Coleman out of the fight. Mark Hunt and boxer Butterbean were supposed to fight at Pride 32 in Las Vegas in October 2006. But Nevada State Athletic Commission would not allow the match-up as they argued that Hunt's wins over Wanderlei Silva and Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic gave him an unfair advantage on the mat. It's somewhat strange as Hunt is almost entirely a striker and didn't win those fights with his ground game, although he did attempt an atomic butt drop on Wanderlei. Anthony Pettis was scheduled to drop down to 145 to fight Jose Aldo for the featherweight title at UFC 163 in August 2013. But Pettis sustained a knee injury and the fight never happened.
