Juice cleanse anyone ??? . . I decided to do a 7 day cleanse. Of course there’s a lot of controversy surrounding if this is healthy or not. And if perhaps does more damage than good. . . I decided to look at it from a perspective of my biggest reasons behind doing the cleanse and if there were ways around some of the cons- which there were . . With a juice cleanse you give your body a chance to really detox, cleanse and repair. All the energy spent on digesting food now can go into healing and repairing your body . Some of the cons- - you’re not getting enough protein - your not getting enough fats -And quite often the juices are full of way too much sugar to make for a more pleasant taste. . . For my juice cleanse I am also including @kettleandfire bone broth for the protein and collagen. As well as spirulina For my fats I add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil to my teas throughout the day. Fats are very important for brain function and a lot of nutrients are fat soluble. It seems counterproductive to flood your body with nutrients if they can’t even be absorbed * that’s where the coconut oil comes into play * Why 7 days ?? The first 3 days of the cleanse are just set aside for the detox phase. I’m hoping to get rid of some inflammation in my knee and perhaps have this be the last bit of healing my body needs. The healing phase of a cleanse don’t start until after the 3 day mark. So I’ll just have to tough it up
