I broke my ankle ! It was broke, I had two MRI scans & confirmed I had snapped it. It’s healed now... I think ! My physio ? I trained even harder, wrestled more when I was advised not to wrestle or grapple. I boxed harder, kicked harder. Did everything harder ! Ask my coach, I’m a walking contradiction ! I’ve torn my ligaments in my knees, my left hand the two knuckles in the middle are broke & I don’t know what else. My physio ? I train harder, I do not for one second think about my minor inconveniences, I put them right to the back of my head. Like right back ! When I was living in Brazil I caught staph a few times & was actually hospitalised one of the times it was more severe, for no one that knows it’s a really really bad infection that requires strong antibiotics. Now a days I don’t get it, not once. I see the symptoms appear now & then but I STILL don’t get it. Or sickness, I don’t get that either! Never sick! My medicine ? Same thing, I don’t think about it. It doesn’t exist ! I control my cells and so on and whatever ! I haven’t read any books or took any advice ! Only the occasional expert advice from my trusted coach/Gaffa. This is all self taught! From me! Learnt to be strong, learnt to not give one tiny little ounce of a fuck! So don’t listen to all these clowns out here giving it the Barry Mcguigan, youse know fuck all... So when you want a day off cos you’re tired or you simply can’t be assed. Don’t lie to yourself and invent an injury or sickness. Be like me and lie there and say to yourself I’m not going to training now cos I’m gonna sit here and be a fat shit eating Chocolate & watching come dine with me ! But don’t make the vital mistake of being a social media trainer. Which basically means all’s you do day in day out is post videos & photos of how hard your training & telling everyone you’re training 8-10 times a day ! You’re a muppet & everyone else thinks you’re a muppet ! One session of hard graft in the morning for one session in the night for technical skills is more than enough ! Have a good Friday & have a Five guys on me tonight ! X This could be wrong / but it’s my way. You might not agree & that is perfectly fine.
