Zoila Gurgel Faces Jessica Eye in Battle of Ohio at Bellator 83

It will be a battle of Ohio taking place in Michigan as Bellator women’s champion Zoila Gurgel returns to action in December to face Jessica Eye at Bellator 83.

Sources close to the fight confirmed to MMAWeekly.com that contracts are in place for the showdown set to go down on Dec 7 in Atlantic City, NJ.

Following a long layoff due to knee surgery, Bellator 115lb women’s champion Zoila Gurgel finally returned to action last weekend in Dayton, OH where she picked up a unanimous decision win over Casey Noland.

The victory was not only a return to action for Gurgel, but a return to 125lbs where she intends to make her home for the future.

Her second fight back won’t be an easy task however as she faces fellow Ohio resident Jessica Eye, who has picked up victories in her last five fights in a row.

Training out of Cleveland, OH, Jessica Eye is a top prospect in the women’s division, and will look to pick up her biggest win yet when she faces Gurgel in December.

More fights for the upcoming Bellator 82 card are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
