Two new undercard fights from the women’s division have been added to the upcoming Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson card in July.
Julie Kedzie will finally get to make her long awaited Strikeforce debut against Alexis Davis in a fight MMAWeekly.com first reported last week.
Kedzie was originally supposed to fight on the Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum card, but a late injury to her opponent Amanda Nunes forced her off the card.
The other bout announced will pit Sarah D’Alelio against Ronda Rousey, who both make their first appearances in Strikeforce as well.
D’Alelio was originally scheduled to face Gina Carano on the same Strikeforce card in June, but Carano was unable to gain medical clearance and was yanked from the card.
Now D’Alelio faces 2-0 prospect Ronda Rousey instead.
The two new bouts will be on the Strikeforce undercard, which is currently rumored to air on HDNet, although no formal announcement has been made yet.
