Not only will Dan Hardy and Chris Lytle be throwing down with their sights set on the UFC on Versus 5 “Fight of the Night” or “Knockout of the Night” bonuses, but the winner will also ride away on a new Harley Davidson motorcycle.
With the company founded in Milwaukee, and having long been a sponsor of the UFC anyway, Harley Davidson has been largely involved in all the proceedings taking place leading up to UFC on Versus 5 this week.
On Sunday morning, UFC officials posted a statement saying that the winner of Sunday night’s main event will also win a 2012 Blackline. The motorcycle is a throwback style in its design with the power of a 103-cubic engine behind it.
The question now is, “who will win it?”
Hardy did an exclusive one-on-one interview with MMAWeekly.com astride a Harley, saying that he’s long been a fan, and has just been trying to ease his girlfriend into the idea of him getting one. Now all he has to do is win the fight… and possibly get her permission to actually ride it.
The Blackline would also be a nice parting gift for Lytle, who on Saturday revealed that the bout with Hardy would be the final one of a career that has spanned well over a decade. Lytle will retire after the fight with Hardy.
