Bellator 77 features the opening round of the Season 7 Lightweight Tournament.

There is a wide mix of veterans and undiscovered foreign talents trying to fight their way into title contention via the lightweight tournament.

Undefeated Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler is already expected to defend his belt against Season 6 winner Rick Hawn, but the winner of that fight will face the winner of the Season 7 tournament after Bellator makes the move to Spike TV in 2013.
