As a reminder, NBC Sports Network airs the first WSOF Canada event on Friday at 9:30 p.m. ET (6:30 p.m. PT).
“WSOF Canada 1: Ford vs. Powell” airs on a one-week tape delay. The event originally took place Feb. 21 at Edmonton Expo Centre in Alberta, Canada.
The 12-bout lineup includes five televised main-card matchups. In the headliner, Bellator MMA and MFC vet Ryan Ford (21-4 at the time), who was on a 9-1 run with eight stoppages, fought fellow Canadian Joel Powell (7-3) for the inaugural WSOF Canada welterweight title.
In the co-headliner, undefeated MMA heavyweight prospect and 2003 NCAA Division I national wrestling champion Steve Mocco (4-0) took on 21-year-old Smealinho Rama (6-1).
WSOF launched its Canadian arm after acquiring Aggression Fighting Championship in 2013.
