Bart Palaszewski vs. Kamal Shalorus
Shalorus lands some powerful punches to kick off the round, and follows up with an arm-drag takedown, landing in Palszewski’s guard. Fighting for his undefeated record and a spot in the UFC, Shalorus doing a good job throwing bombs to the body and head. Palaszewski goes for an armbar, causing Shalorus to stand up, but he drops more heavy leather from standing, battering Palaszewski. Shalorus drops down and hammerfists Palaszewski, dominating the round. Palaszewski gets up, but is immediately accosted with punches. They move out to center cage and Palaszewski gets some leg kicks going, slowing Shalorus’ pace a bit.
They start up where round one left off, bother fighters letting their kicks fly. Palaszewski showing more movement in this round, trying to avoid Shalorus’ power, but he’s still moving straight back a lot and getting caught. Good inside leg kick from Shalorus is countered by a head kick from Palaszewski. Shalorus shoots a takedown, but is stuffed, and then Palaszewski lands another head kick, this one grazing Shalorus. Just as Palaszewski looks to get some momentum going, Shalorus shoots a takedown and lands in Palaszewski’s guard. Palaszewski ties Shalorus up much better this time, unlike the first round, and then escapes to his feet, again eating several power punches.
Palaszewski comes out jabbing, but eats more power shots from Shalorus, who is on a head-hunting mission. Shalorus shoots, nearly gets caught in a guillotine choke, and then eats a knee on the way back up to their feet. Palaszewski working his jab really weel in this round, and Shalorus looks like he’s starting to fade. Shalorus scores another takedown, however, immediately starting to work from Palaszewski’s guard. He passes to half guard, smothering Palaszewski and dropping elbows on his head. Palaszewski scrambles out and back to his feet, throwing knee and high kick to the head. Then follows with two mor knees shortly thereafter. Shalorus is running on empty and Palszewski is scoring with some big shots, but can’t finish before the bell.
