ST. LOUIS – Ken Shamrock’s physique has always been impressive. But it’s startling just how fit the MMA pioneer is at 51 years old.
Shamrock (28-15-2 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) will face Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson (4-2 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) in the main event of Bellator 138 tomorrow night. The event takes place from Scottrade Center in St. Louis. The event’s main card, including the Shamrock vs. Slice headliner, airs live on Spike TV following prelims on MMAjunkie.
Shamrock’s career has not been without its controversies. Most recently, he tested positive for steroids after a fight on the regional scene in 2009. While there has been some confusion over the particulars of the drug testing for the bout with Slice, Ferguson says that he has been drug tested multiple times in the lead-up to the fight.
