In March 2012 the two fighters were part of a four-man tournament to determine the UFC’s first-ever 125-pound champion. However, a rematch of their opening-round matchup was booked after the first fight ended in a majority draw (and after a scoring error was caught too late to force the contracted sudden-victory fourth round).
