Next week, Eddie Wineland, the first bantamweight champion in WEC history, gets a shot at the title he was first to own.
Wineland meets Renan Barao for the UFC’s interim bantamweight title in the co-main event of UFC 165, which takes place Sept. 21 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
Wineland wrapped up his WEC career with four straight wins, including back-to-back knockouts before moving to the UFC. Watch him win “Knockout of the Night” against Will Campuzano at WEC 49 in Calgaray in 2010.
Catch Wineland in action next week when he goes after UFC gold.
