Video: Go behind the scenes of the UFC's 'TUF 20' fighter tryouts in Las Vegas

Dozens of women’s strawweights converged on Las Vegas on Monday hoping to win one of eight spots on the upcoming Season 20 of “The Ultimate Fighter.”

MMAjunkie takes you behind the scenes of those fighter tryouts, which took place at Palace Station Hotel & Casino, in an exclusive video.

On hand for the tryouts, beyond just the prospective “TUF” fighters themselves, were UFC President Dana White and matchmakers Joe Silva and Sean Shelby, plus women’s bantamweight Miesha Tate.

White said he’s encouraged by how quickly the women’s side of the sport has progressed since the days when he vowed women would never fight in the UFC.

“I love how far they’ve come in such a short amount of time,” White said. “If you look back at women’s boxing when it came out, you had a bunch of girls who had absolutely no defense, and would just go in there and throw a bunch of haymakers and windmills. These girls are good – very technical, very talented. It’s exciting.”

“TUF 20? will feature 115-pound fighters, and the winner of the show will be crowned the UFC’s first women’s strawweight champion later this year.
