Video: Check out the intense Chris Weidman-Vitor Belfort UFC 187 face-off

LAS VEGAS – It didn’t quite get out of control, but there was definitely plenty of tension in the air for today’s co-main event face-off for UFC 187.

Middleweight champion Chris Weidman (12-0 MMA, 8-0 UFC) and Vitor Belfort (24-10 MMA, 13-6 UFC) each made weight for their Saturday fight. Then Weidman started pointing and yelling the challenger’s direction.

The two had to be separated by UFC President Dana White, and in an interview with Joe Rogan, Weidman intimated he was mad that Belfort purportedly had elevated testosterone levels during training camp – reports that thus far are unsubstantiated.

Regardless, it touched off one of the weigh-in festivities’ most heated moments (along with a shove of Rafael Natal by Uriah Hall on the prelims).

Check out the video above of the Weidman-Belfort face-off, along with Saturday’s main event light heavyweight title fight between Daniel Cormier (15-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) and Anthony Johnson (19-4 MMA, 10-4 UFC).

UFC 187 takes place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas with a main card on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
