Video: Bellator 169 co-headliners James Gallagher and Anthony Taylor had a bizarre confrontation

Friday’s Bellator 169 co-headliners had the quite the confrontation today at the event’s official media day.

Ahead of the event, which takes place at 3Arena in Dublin and airs on Spike via same-day tape delay, the card’s fighters, including co-headliners and featherweights James Gallagher (4-0 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) and Anthony Taylor (1-1 MMA, 1-1 BMMA), gathered at SBG Ireland.

In the video (posted by Bellator officials, no less), we can see Gallagher walk up and shove Taylor. It’s about as awkward a confrontation as you’ll find, and it doesn’t necessarily feel all that genuine. There were a lot of shoves, yelling and “wassups,” but it got the cameras clicking (via Instagram):

Here’s the full clip (via SevereMMA.com):

Even before today’s confrontation, Gallagher didn’t seem all that impressed with his opponent. When MMAjunkie asked what Taylor brings to the table, Gallagher didn’t see anything worth mentioning.

“Not much,” he said (watch the video above). “I can’t say that I’ve seen much. It’s just I’m on a different level – my skill set, my mindset, my training, just me. I’m on a different level.”
