In the main event, Curran reclaimed the title from Straus by submitting him with just 14 seconds left in the fight – the latest title stoppage in Bellator history. Curran was behind on one of the scorecards and even on another going to the fifth, but the submission guaranteed he left with the belt.

Friday’s event, which aired on Spike TV from The Venue at Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Ind., also included the opening round of the Season 10 welterweight tournament.
