Heavyweight slugger Derrick Lewis continues his run up the division, and his UFC Fight Night 105 knockout win sees him land at No. 7 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA heavyweight rankings.

Lewis (18-4 MMA, 9-2 UFC), who proclaimed himself the UFC’s interim heavyweight champion following the win, admitted he battled some abdominal issues during the bout. But rather than the front kicks of opponent Travis Browne (18-6-1 MMA, 9-6-1 UFC), Lewis gave some pressing bathroom concerns credit for his discomfort.

His style is admittedly one-dimensional – swangin’ and bangin’ – but it’s proven effective, as well, with “The Black Beast” boasting a six-fight winning streak, including five wins by knockout.

On a rare week off from major events, take a look at the updated rankings.
