Round 1: Both fighters known for their Muay Thai skills, it’s no surprise tat they start trading blows from the opening bell, but quickly end up in a clinch along the fence, Sadollah pressing Ludwig against the cage. Their trading several knees from the Thai clinch, Ludwig edging ahead before Sadollah makes a failed takedown attempt. They start trading punches again, but Ludwig lands a couple head kicks. Ludwig scores a solid punch combination, but Sadollah fires back with a kick. Ludwig again goes up high landing two head kicks and follows with the punch combinations. Ludwig opens up the punches and rocks Sadollah with a left hook and then drives several knees to the body. Sadollah starts firing back, but Ludwig is landing about four to one or more for every strike Sadollah throws now. Ludwig opens up with another punch and kick combination just before the bell. MMAWeekly.com scores round one 10-9 for Ludwig.
Round 2: They start off right where they left off in round one, trading blows. Sadollah seems to have regained some of his steam, but Ludwig is still the busier and more accurate fighter at this point. Ludwig is landing combination after combination, both kicks and punches, while Sadollah is mostly throwing one-off strikes. Ludwig staggers Sadollah with a punch combination then clinches and drives home knees to the body and head before Sadollah can get some separation and try to recover. Ludwig shoots, but Sadollah sprawls it out and they return to trading strikes. MMAWeekly.com scores round two 10-9 for Ludwig.
Round 3: Again, they both go straight to trading blows, but Sadollah shoots the takedown. Ludwig sprawls out, stopping the takedown, and returning the fight to striking. Sadollah throws a few kicks and punches then shoots again, but again fails to get the takedown. Ludwig has slowed a lot in this third round, but so has Sadollah, although he’s finding a home for some of his front kicks. He shoots again midway through the round, but is stopped again. Ludwig’s movement is almost nonexistent at this point, so Sadollah is able to land, but is still throwing single techniques, not utilizing his combinations. He’s scoring, but unable to mount a serious attack. Ludwig lands a couple solid right hands and then a good counter punch combination, then shoots and scores a takedown just before the bell. MMAWeekly.com scores round three 10-9 for Sadollah, but the fight 29-28 for Ludwig
