The UFC matchmaking machine never slows down. On Tuesday, while also confirming the UFC on Versus 5 show in August, two new bouts were announced for the event.
While the show isn’t official for any date or location, current rumors are placing the event in Milwaukee, Wisc., on Aug. 14.
The two new fights announced for the show included a welterweight tilt between Amir Sadollah and Duane “Bang” Ludwig and a lightweight match-up between Cole Miller and T.J. O’Brien.
The UFC officially confirmed the fights.
Sadollah (5-2) and Ludwig (20-11) were originally scheduled to meet at UFC Fight Night 24, but a sternum injury forced Ludwig out of the fight. Sadollah remained on the card and finished DaMarques Johnson by TKO in the second round.
Meanwhile, Cole Miller (17-5) looks to get back on track after a loss in his last fight to Matt Wiman, when he faces T.J. O’Brien (16-4), who makes his second appearance in the UFC. O’Brien lost in his debut fight to British lightweight Paul Kelly.
More fights for the August event will be announced in the coming weeks.
