Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Loughnane
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Loughnane
Mike Whitman scores the round 10-9 Loughnane
Round 2
More leg kicks from Loughnane to open up round two, and he keeps on
his back foot while Wilkinson tries to strike. Another Wilkinson
shot is dodged, but he cracks Loughnane with a pair of hard right
hands before shooting a single-leg against the fence. Loughnane
stays up, gets an overhook and exits the clinch. A left hook from
Loughnane connects and immediately opens up a cut above Wilkinson’s
right eye. Loughnane continues to move around the outside, pumping
his jab and trying to dodge Wilkinson’s offense. They exchange leg
kicks inside and Wilkinson sneaks a right hand up the middle. He
shoots a single and Loughnane sprawls on the fence, then circles
out. Wilkinson won’t let up with his punches, even if Loughnane
seems to be slipping most of them. A hook to the body by Loughnane
is followed by a knee. Wilkinson stays up and comes forward again,
eating another right hand.
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Loughnane
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Loughnane
Mike Whitman scores the round 10-9 Loughnane
Round 3
Wilkinson gets through with a pair of punches and a leg kick before
taking a leg kick inside from Loughnane and receiving a finger in
the left eye. Referee Sharp calls for a pause and Wilkinson signals
that he’s alright to continue. When they resume, it’s Loughnane
leg-kicking again and snapping off left hands in Wilkinson’s face.
Wilkinson shoots a single against the cage, gets stood up and is
shoved away. Swiping right hands from Loughnane but he nearly gets
taken down as Wilkinson catches a high knee. Wilkinson just keeps
coming forward, pressing the action and again trying for a
single-leg takedown. Loughnane reverses, scores with a knee to the
breadbasket; Wilkinson, with his back to the fence, keeps busy with
short right hands to Loughnane’s face and body. With 90 seconds to
go, Loughnane wilts Wilkinson with a big right hand and tries to
finish on the ground. Wilkinson recovers quickly, scrambles up and
shoots. He can’t get the takedown and eats a knee for his trouble.
Loughnane presses Wilkinson into the fence as the fight enters its
final 30 seconds. Wilkinson rushes his man at the horn, bombing
with heavy right hands and connecting with a few while Loughnane
pulls up short on his counters.

Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Pierce
Mike Whitman scores the round 10-9 Pierce
Round 2
Baczynski tries to keep Pierce at bay with long strikes but is
quickly shot back down to the ground. Pierce stacks him up at the
base of the fence and socks him with sporadic ground-and-pound
before Baczynski works his way back up. Baczynski gets off the
fence and attacks with a leaping knee, stuffs a shot and puts
Pierce on the outside with long kicks. Pierce swipes at Baczynski
with a right hand, gets in behind it and puts the larger man on the
cage again. Baczynski lands a good knee up the middle, steps back
and strings together a combo as Pierce stands on the fence. Pierce
comes forward and drops Baczynski with a right hand, then follows
with uppercuts. Baczynski leaps in with another knee and slips to
the ground this time, where Pierce follows to finish the round on
top. As he goes back to his corner, Baczynski’s left eye is busted
open and bleeding.
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Pierce
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Pierce
Mike Whitman scores the round 10-9 Pierce
Round 3
Baczynski pushes in with leg kicks and long punches but Pierce
nonetheless gets in on a leg. Baczynski gets his leg free and comes
at Pierce with a head kick, which is blocked, and some long hooks,
which aren’t. Just as Baczynski looks to be turning the tides on
the feet, Pierce puts him back on the ground. It’s a repeat of the
early moments as Baczynski goes back to slapping the sides of
Pierce’s head, unloading with backhanded punches and elbows
whenever he’s afforded the space. Pierce isn’t doing enough on top
for referee Marc Goddard, who stands the welterweights up with one
minute remaining. The now-bloodied Pierce goes straight after a
takedown and hits one 20 seconds later, finishing the round and the
fight on top.

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Beltran
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Beltran
Mike Whitman scores the round 10-9 Beltran
Round 2
Beltran goes after Pokrajac with a steady stream of kicks to the
body and punches, and it’s Pokrajac on his back foot through the
first minute of the round. Pokrajac steps forward and gets in
Beltran’s face now, and the pair starts swinging for the fences,
both men throwing absolute bombs but neither man landing the big
shot. Beltran gets the clinch along the fence and spends the better
part of 90 seconds controlling Pokrajac on the cage. Pokrajac takes
a low knee but recovers quickly and they get back to work with a
minute left. Beltran gets a collar tie and attacks Pokrajac with
punches from all angles, over and under, before forcing the clinch
on the fence again. He controls Pokrajac there for the final minute
and lands a few punches to the gut just before -- and maybe one
just after -- the horn.
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Beltran
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Beltran
Mike Whitman scores the round 10-9 Beltran
Round 3
The 205ers are quickly clinched on the cage again, exchanging the
outside position as they work in very close quarters. Beltran’s
underhooks are winning him the positional battle while Pokrajac
mashes his hands on Beltran’s face. Pokrajac finally gets out of
the tie-up and makes Beltran come forward. Beltran does that,
throwing punches but missing as Pokrajac backs away. Pokrajac comes
forward now and starts putting right hands on Beltran’s cheek, then
shoves Beltran into the fence. It only last a few seconds as
Beltran gets his back off the cage and circles out. Beltran isn’t
throwing many punches in return and instead wraps Pokrajac up on
the fence again. Down to the final minute now and Beltran gets a
front headlock, where he’s able to knock Pokrajac with some solid
knees. Pokrajac escapes with just seconds to go and they finish
throwing punches, drawing a roar from the Australian crowd as the
fight concludes.

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Parke
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Parke
Mike Whitman scores the round 10-9 Parke
Round 2
Parke wraps Fletcher up and drags him to the floor again. Fletcher
rolls underneath, first angling for an armbar and then grabbing for
one of Parke’s legs. Parke stacks him up and transitions to
north-south position, then keeps moving to side control. He snares
Fletcher in a guillotine, but Fletcher elevates and gets out of
danger. The respite is only temporary, as Parke quickly steps into
full mount, where he begins to drop elbows until Fletcher gives up
his back. Parke goes looking for a rear-naked choke, but the rangy
Fletcher twists around, creates space and scrambles back up.
Fletcher has 90 seconds to turn this frame around and he begins
trying to do so with body kicks and jabs. Parke is at an 8-inch
reach disadvantage but nonetheless is finding success with two- and
three-punch combos in the pocket. Parke hits another takedown just
before the round ends.
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Parke
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Parke
Mike Whitman scores the round 10-9 Parke
Round 3
Fletcher clearly wants to stay standing and tries to do so with the
use of long kicks and hooks. Parke is still countering effectively
and doing a fair job in dodging the larger man’s strikes, even
ducking a spinning backfist from Fletcher and shoving him to the
ground. Fletcher keeps coming forward, even eating punches, and now
he’s trickling blood from the outside of his left eye. Parke lights
up Fletcher with a combo and the Freakshow gives him a smile.
Fletcher comes forward with a leg kick and a hook, steps in with a
knee up the middle. He pushes Parke back with an outside leg kick
but Parke is right back at him with a one-two in Fletcher’s face.
With 40 seconds left, Parke gets inside, wraps Fletcher up and
trips him to the ground. Parke works to secure Fletcher’s back as
the clock ticks down, allowing Fletcher back to his feet. They
finish throwing punches on the fence and the Team U.K. teammates
embrace.

Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Whittaker
Mike Whitman scores the round 10-9 Whittaker
Round 2
Scott comes aggressive with his strikes to begin the second frame,
rushing Whittaker to the fence and briefly tying up. After they
disengage, Whittaker throws an inside leg kick at the wrong angle
and catches Scott in the cup. Ref Steve Perceval pauses the bout,
but Scott recovers after a minute and they’re back at it. Whittaker
absorbs a kick to the body and goes high with a right kick which
Scott ducks. Whittaker lands a hard uppercut in the clinch, but
Scott wraps him up from behind and trips Whittaker to the ground.
Trying to secure back-mount, Scott punches at the kneeling
Whittaker from side control. With 90 seconds remaining, Scott sinks
in his hooks and begins working for the rear-naked choke. Whittaker
scrapes Scott off his back and stands, but the Englishman shoves
him against the fence. Right hook from Whittaker and Scott steps
forward with a two-piece body-head combo. Another combo comes from
Scott, right uppercut-left hook this time, right at the horn.
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Scott
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Scott
Mike Whitman scores the round 10-9 Scott
Round 3
It’s give-and-take through the opening minute of the final round,
with both welterweights taking turns coming forward and throwing
strikes. Whittaker is getting the better of it early on, attacking
Scott with bunches of punches and turning away attempts to tie up.
Whittaker attacks with standing elbows now, landing at first but
then walking into a right hand counter from Scott. A step-in knee
to the body lands for Scott; Whittaker backs him off with a wide
right hook. Scott backs Whittaker away with a stiff jab and
Whittaker is spilling blood from his nose. Undeterred, the young
Aussie keeps cracking away with hard punches, finding particular
success with his left hook. He feints a one-two and goes high with
a partially blocked head kick. Down to the final minute now and
Whittaker gets the crowd going with another surge of punches. A
strike from Whittaker has opened up a bloody cut on the hairline of
Scott, and Whittaker ends the fight emphatically, attacking Scott’s
head and body with punches in equal measure. This one is going to
the scorecards.

Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Pearson
Mike Whitman scores the round 10-9 Pearson
Round 2
Sotiropoulos looks to keep Pearson outside with long jabs while
Pearson tries to snap off quicker punches inside. Neither man
connecting with anything significant through the first 90 seconds,
though Pearson lands a decent uppercut to the body. Pearson is
finding his jab, and Sotiropoulos is pawing at his eye after a few
of them. Now the jabs come back from Sotiropoulos as he moves
backward. Pearson digs a hook to Sotiropoulos’ body and
Sotiropoulos retaliates with a two-punch-head-kick combo. A left
hook from Pearson sends Sotiropoulos to the mat, but he keeps a
long guard and regains his wits. Back on the feet, Pearson slips
throwing an inside leg kick and Sotiropoulos makes him pay with a
clinch on the fence. Pearson gets out and finishes the round with a
glancing left hand.
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Pearson
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Pearson
Mike Whitman scores the round 10-9 Pearson
Round 3
Pearson wastes no time in going back to the left hook, and it pays
dividends immediately. Sotiropoulos hits the decks and kicks his
legs furiously, trying to keep Pearson from striking through his
guard. Sotiropoulos gets back to his feet and is forced to cover up
as Pearson attacks the body with nasty punches. Pearson walks right
at Sotiropoulos and splits the Australian’s guard with a straight
right, a left and another right. The legs go out from under
Sotiropoulos and ref Goddard has seen enough. Pearson barely gets
off a follow-up punch before this one is waved off.
