Brian Ebersole extended his win streak to eleven with a decision victory over TJ Waldburger at UFC on FX 4 in Atlantic City on Friday.
Waldburger didn’t make it easy, though. He landed a stiff left jab that dropped Ebersole early in the opening round. He proceeded to apply a d’arce choke that had Ebersole’s head an unnatural shade of purple.
Ebersole battled back, fending off submission attempt after submission attempt.
The momentum changed in the second stanza. Ebersole utilized his wrestling ability to gain top position and battered Waldburger with punches and elbows in the closing minutes of the round.
Ebersole secured a single-leg takedown midway through the final round and that pretty much sealed the deal. From there, he landed shots while defending submissions. His 66-fight experience shined through.
With the win, Ebersole remains undefeated inside the Octagon with four wins in the UFC.
