Ahead of his latest title defense, the UFC’s middleweight champion gets his own TV special on Sunday.
“UFC Presents: The All-American Chris Weidman” premieres Sunday at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT) on FOX Sports 1. Replays air throughout the week, but check local listings for precise times.
The hourlong special will follow Weidman’s journey from his early days in MMA on Long Island to the pinnacle of his career so far – when he won the UFC’s 185-pound title with an upset of longtime kingpin Anderson Silva nearly a year ago.
Weidman defended that belt in December against Silva in horrific fashion. Next month, at UFC 175 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Weidman puts his title on the line against another Brazilian – former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida.
But before that July 5 pay-per-view, don’t miss Sunday’s premiere of the latest “UFC Presents” on Weidman.
