The UFC on Fox schedule kicks off with a Jan. 26 card at United Center in Chicago. While no bouts have been officially announced, a lightweight clash between Donald Cerrone and Anthony Pettis is expected to take place at the event.
The three remaining UFC on Fox cards have been slated for April 20, July 27 and Dec. 14, but cities and venues have yet to be announced.
“2013 is shaping up to be a huge year for the UFC, and we can’t wait to bring more great fights to Fox,” UFC President Dana White said in a release. “We’re going to continue to take the UFC all over the world putting on the biggest and best fights. Fox is an amazing broadcast partner, and we’re going to do some big things next year.”
The promotion also confirmed two previously reported pay-per-view events for 2013. As expected, UFC 156 will take place on Feb. 2 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and is highlighted by a featherweight title tilt between Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar, while UFC “Jones vs. Sonnen” goes down at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. on April 27 and features a 205-pound championship bout between Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen.
Additionally, UFC on FX 7 will be held a to-be-determined location in Brazil and is headlined by a middleweight clash between Vitor Belfort and Michael Bisping. The Las Vegas-based promotion is also planning an international UFC on Fuel TV event on Feb. 16. The location is not currently known.
