The UFC heads to Fort Campbell, Ky., on Wednesday for its first Fight for the Troops event in nearly three years. The card is headlined by Green Beret Tim Kennedy and his Brazilian opponent Rafael Natal.
The fighters first had to weigh-in at the military base on Tuesday afternoon.
Being a 10-year veteran of the Army, as well as a Green Beret, it was no surprise that Tim Kennedy was swarmed with applause. His opponent, Rafael Natal, also got a healthy response from the members of the military in attendance.
U.S. Marine Liz Carmouche also got an overwhelming round of applause from the soldiers at Fort Campbell. She easily made weight, as did her co-main event opponent, Alexis Davis.
