Prior to Wednesday’s UFC Fight Night 27: Condit vs. Kampmann 2 event at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, the 24 fighters participating on the card weighed in on Tuesday.
Welterweight contenders Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann headline the card in a rematch of their fight from 2009, while Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and Rafael dos Anjos try to whittle down the list of UFC lightweight contenders in the night’s co-main event on Fox Sports 1.
None of the fighters had trouble making weight.
Former UFC interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit stepped on the scale at 170.5 pounds for the five-round, non-title main event. Kampmann, eager to prove his victory in their first fight wasn’t a fluke, weighed 170 pounds.
Everyone is anticipating a high-paced main event, but Cerrone, who weighed 156 pounds, and dos Anjos, who weighed 155.5 pounds, are aggressive fighters trying to claw into the lightweight title picture and could steal the show.
