Lineker (29-7 MMA, 10-2 UFC) picked up a pair of 48-47 scores in the five-round headliner to top Dodson (18-8 MMA, 7-3 UFC) in the bantamweight bout. The back-and-forth fight might normally have been a “Fight of the Night” winner, but Lineker failed to make weight on Friday – his fifth such infraction in the UFC, but first at 135 pounds after moving up from flyweight.
The bantamweight bout was part of the main card of UFC Fight Night 96 at Moda Center in Portland, Ore. It aired on FS1 following prelims on FS2 and UFC Fight Pass.
