UFC Fight Night 67 Medical Suspensions: Thiago Alves Faces Six-Month Suspension

UFC Fight Night 67 Medical Suspensions: Thiago Alves Faces Six-Month Suspension

Not surprisingly, main eventer Thiago Alves topped the list of UFC Fight Night 67 medical suspensions released by the Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) on Monday.

Alves’ fight with Carlos Condit was stopped at the end of the second round, after Alves suffered a severely broken nose that might require surgery. As such, CABMMA levied him a six-month medical suspension pending clearance by a doctor.

Every fighter on the card received a minimum two-week rest period, which is standard procedure by CABMMA and most other athletic commissions.

CABMMA released the UFC Fight Night 67 medical suspensions to MMAWeekly.com on Monday. UFC Fight Night 67: Condit vs. Alves took place on Saturday, May 30, at the Goiânia Arena in Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil.
