UFC Fight Night 42 card complete with addition of Yosdenis Cedeno vs. Jon Tuck

jon-tuck-1.jpgThe card for the UFC’s debut in Albuquerque, N.M., is complete with the addition of a lightweight bout.

Yosdenis Cedeno (9-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) will meet Jon Tuck (7-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) on the preliminary card, completing the 11-bout lineup for UFC Fight Night 42. The UFC recently made the fight official and set the bout order for the event.

UFC Fight Night 42 takes place June 7 at Albuquerque’s Tingley Coliseum. The event’s six-fight main card will air on FOX Sports 1 (10 p.m. ET) following a four-fight prelim lineup on FOX Sports 1 (8 p.m. ET) and one fight on UFC Fight Pass (7:30 p.m. ET).

The six-fight main card for UFC Fight Night 42 will be headlined by a lightweight fight between former champion Benson Henderson (20-3 MMA, 8-2 UFC) and Rustam Khabilov (17-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) – who fights out of the famed Jackson-Winkeljohn camp in Albuquerque. In the co-feature, another Albuquerque-based fighter, Diego Sanchez (24-7 MMA, 13-7 UFC), meets Ross Pearson (15-6 MMA, 7-3 UFC).

Two other Jackson-Winkeljohn fighters have key spots on the main card, as well. Former UFC flyweight challengers John Dodson (15-6 MMA, 4-1 UFC), who trains in Albuquerque, and John Moraga (14-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC) are on the bill. And Jackson-Winkeljohn-trained Erik Perez (14-5 MMA, 4-1 UFC) opens the main card against Bryan Caraway (18-6 MMA, 3-1 UFC).

Bantamweights Sergio Pettis (10-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) and Yaotzin Meza (20-9 MMA, 1-2 UFC) take the featured spot on the four-fight preliminary card leading into the main card on FOX Sports 1.

Cedeno, a Cuban, made his UFC debut in February on a six-fight winning streak. But he dropped a split decision to Ernest Chavez at UFC 170 in Las Vegas. The 29-year-old, who trains with the likes of Ricardo Lamas and Amanda Nunes at MMA Masters in Florida, will be looking to rebound from what was his first loss in more than four years.

Tuck, from Guam, also needs to get back on track after having a solid winning streak halted. He started his career 7-0, including a decision win over Tiequan Zhang in his UFC debut in November 2012. But at UFC Fight Night 30 in October in London, he dropped a unanimous decision to Norman Parke for the first setback of his career.

The complete UFC Fight Night 42 card includes:

MAIN CARD (FOX Sports 1, 10 p.m. ET)

PRELIMINARY CARD (FOX Sports 1, 8 p.m. ET)

PRELIMINARY CARD (UFC Fight Pass, 7:30 p.m. ET)
