UFC Fight Night 32 Now Official; Feijao Cavalcante vs. Igor Pokrajac Added

Vitor Belfort vs Dan Henderson Pride 32The Ultimate Fighting Championship hits Goiania on Saturday, Nov. 9, with UFC FIGHT NIGHT: BELFORT vs. HENDERSON. Tickets for the seventh and final UFC event held in Brazil in 2013 will be on sale starting this Friday, Sept. 6, at www.ticketsforfun.com.br. Goiânia Arena will be open to the public at 17.30, with preliminary bouts beginning at 19:30.

In the night’s main event,  legends of the sport Vitor Belfort and Dan Henderson face off in a five-round battle. Currently the number-two ranked middleweight in the world, Belfort will go up a weight class to seek a rematch against Henderson, who is ranked seventh in the light heavyweight listings. The two first met in a 2006 PRIDE bout that Henderson won by unanimous decision.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to face a fighter who has also made history in the sport and beaten champions like Fedor Emelianenko. I’m very happy to fight him again. It will also be great to train together and fight at the same event as Cezar Mutante. I am very happy to see how it is shining and know that he will face a great fighter, whom I also love,” said Belfort.

In the co-main event, the middleweight winner of The Ultimate Fighter Brasil season one Cezar “Mutante” Ferreira will take on that season’s finalist, Daniel Sarafian. The two were orginally slated to fight at UFC 147 last July in Belo Horizonte, but an injury forced Sarafian to withdraw from the card. Both fighters were members of Team Belfort on the show and are coming off of first-round submission wins in their last UFC bouts.

Also on the card, Brazilian Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante, former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion, will seek to bounce back after being knocked out in his UFC debut by fellow Brazilian Thiago Silva at the TUF Brasil 2 Finale in Fortaleza earlier this summer. The light heavyweight student of Minotauro Nogueira will now face Croatian slugger Igor Pokrajac.
