It’s fight week again for the UFC, and Wednesday’s UFC Fight Night 28 event marks the organization’s third show in a seven-day span.
Here’s the essential information for the mid-week show.
UFC FIGHT NIGHT 28 START TIME: UFC Fight Night 28 (previously UFC on FOX Sports 1 3) takes place Wednesday at Mineirinho Arena in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The night kicks off with a lone Facebook prelim at 4:30 p.m. ET (1:30 p.m. PT). FOX Sports 1 then carries four prelims at 5 p.m. ET and the six-fight main card at 7 p.m. ET.
UFC FIGHT NIGHT 28 BACKGROUND: After two FOX Sports 1 cards in the U.S., the UFC takes the new event series to Brazil for its first international edition. While much of the preliminary card features lower-ranked competitors, the top three bouts all feature fighters who are highly ranked in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie.com MMA rankings. The light-heavyweight headliners pits No. 7 Glover Teixeira (21-2 MMA, 4-0 UFC) vs. No. 10 Ryan Bader (15-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC). The co-headliner features No. 4 middleweight Yushin Okami (29-7 MMA, 13-4 UFC) vs. No. 8 Ronaldo Souza (18-3 MMA, 1-0 UFC), and No. 2 flyweight Joseph Benavidez (18-3 MMA, 5-1 UFC) meets No. 5 Jussier Formiga (15-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC).

They kick off at 12:30 p.m. ET and include Teixeira, Bader, Okami, Souza, Rafael Natal and Lucas Martins. We’ll have full coverage throughout the evening.
