'UFC Fight Night 27: Condit vs. Kampmann 2' lineup set with FOX Sports 2 prelims

The fight card is set for “UFC Fight Night 27: Condit vs. Kampmann 2? (formerly UFC on FOX Sports 1 2) with a main card on FOX Sports 1 and prelims on FOX Sports 2 and Facebook.

The event, which is the second UFC on FOX Sports 1 event, takes place Aug. 28 at Indianapolis’ Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The headliner features a rematch between Carlos Condit (28-7 MMA, 5-3 UFC) and Martin Kampmann (20-6 MMA, 11-5 UFC), who currently are ranked No. 4 and No. 9, respectively, in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie.com MMA welterweight rankings.

Condit and Kampmann first met at UFC Fight Night 18 in April 2009. Condit made his octagon debut after a long stint as the welterweight champ of the WEC, which shuttered its 170-pound division before closing up shop in 2010. After three closely contested rounds, Kampmann earned the nod on two of the three judges’ scorecards.

UFC Fight Night 27 also includes an intriguing co-headliner between lightweight contenders Donald Cerrone (20-5 MMA, 7-2 UFC) and Rafael dos Anjos (19-6 MMA, 8-4 UFC), who are ranked No. 11 and No. 14, respectively, in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie.com MMA lightweight rankings. Dos Anjos quietly searches for his fifth consecutive victory while Cerrone looks to improve to 4-1 over the past year.
